Boys Basketball goes 3-0 in Warrier Challenge!
The Grand Junction Warrior Challenge was a 3 day tournament this past weekend that kicked off Basketball season and the Bears came away with a resounding victory.  Over this past weekend, Bear Creek's Boys Basketball took all 3 of their games, with 2 players earning All Tournament honors. 

Game Scores:
Game 1 -  Bears defeated Grand Junction 67-55
Game 2 - Bears won over Fruita Monument 61-56
Game 3 - Bears toppled Horizon 63-60

Jayden Martinez, Bear Creek senior, was named to the All Tournament Team while Grant Karger, also a senior, was named the Tournament MVP!

"Bear Creek 67, Grand Junction 55

Grand Junction played well at times and had a 16-9 lead when Victor Woldruff hit a 3-pointer at the first-quarter buzzer.

After Beau Thornton scored a layup, the Tigers' lead was 24-19 in the second quarter.

The Bears then caught fire from the outside and tied the game at 29-29 late in the second, and then scored back-to-back 3-pointers in the final 10 seconds to take a 32-26 halftime lead.

Bear Creek hit 10 3-pointers in the game and was in control for most of the second half."
